I'm from that lost generation: too young to be a beatnik; too old to be a hippie.
Quotations
I found these quotes in an old dream book from the 80s but no reference to where they came from. Anybody know?
"In order for one to get an idea of a mountain, it is not enough to show a stone and say, 'The mountain is a million times larger than this.' You will have to see an actual mountain, at least from a distance, in order to comprehend what a mountain really is. Likewise you will have to catch a Glimpse of the Reality of God to begin to comprehend the true nature of God."
"There are two duties to be performed by man. One is to work for the good of the world and the other is to work for the liberation of consciousness. The former is sometimes seen as the 'left-hand path' and it will drop away once you have become spiritually ripe."
